Is it True? Organic Food Prevents Stress?

What is Bad Stress?

Bad stress is a specific response by the body to a stimulus, such as fear or pain, that disturbs or interferes with the normal physiological equilibrium of an organism.

What is Good Stress?

Stress that motivates and creates more imagination to solve a problem could be considered good stress as long it is kept in check of course.

Bad Stress — Both Mates Suffer

Men with marriage problems are more susceptible to disease than those who are happily married, say researchers Janice Kiecolt-Glaser and her husband, Ronald Glaser, of Ohio State University. Though previous studies have shown this to be true of unhappily married women, until recently the extent to which the male immune system was weakened by marital stress was not known. However, blood tests on men with troubled marriages showed them less able to ward off two common herpes virus infections.

In addition, a study conducted by researcher Christopher Coe of the University of Wisconsin, suggested that “emotional influences on physical health can persist for a long time after the emotional problem has been resolved,” reports the New York Post.

Stress at Work

Employers should provide a stress-free work environment, recognize where stress is becoming a problem for staff and take action to reduce stress. Stress in the workplace reduces productivity, increases management pressures and makes people ill in many ways. The evidence of this is still increasing.

Workplace stress affects the performance of the brain, including functions of work performance like memory, concentration, and learning.

Ultimately, bad stress weakens your immune system. We all know what happens when your immune system gets weaker. That’s right. Illness.

What Foods Can Prevent Bad Stress?

This isn’t rocket science by any means; it’s only common sense and logical. At the same time though, as logical as this is, this logic is never talked about in the media or in the public. Did you know that the healthier you are physically, the healthier you are mentally, too? It should be clear to you then that you need to take in better and more nutrition at every meal. If not, then at least take the most nutritious whole food supplement you can find and only do that.Combining different vitamin products just adds more carcinogens and different nutrition quality levels which will only disturb your body more.

Did you know that food grown with pesticides or radiation or that is processed in any way adds to bad stress? This happens to be 90% of ALL food at supermarkets.

You see, as your body grows sicker and more tired, the natural balance in your body that deals with stress in a healthy way starts to break down until one day you are taking anti-depressants, seeing a shrink or both. And all you had to do was eat food that has no pesticides or radiation. The only food in this country that doesn’t is Certified Organic, which happens to also be the cheapest now than it has ever been.

Dark green vegetables are excellent for helping the immune system to grow stronger, like kale, spinach and broccoli.
